Dr. Sherrie Hockett
is originally from Havre, Montana. She graduated from Oregon State University with her DVM degree in 1998. She met her husband, Wayne Sonnichsen, during clinical rotations at Washington State University in Pullman. He is a civil engineer and now works as the lead engineer at the Roza Irrigation District. They have four cats, Mocha, Zipper, Winky and Opie Taylor and two dogs, Frank (pictured) and Kaycee.
Sherrie has several hobbies: quilting, cross-stitch, knitting, cooking, gardening, woodworking, and stained glass.
Dr. Joanna Fischer
grew up in Buckley, Washington. She attended Washington State University from fall 1993 to spring 2000, earning a bachelor’s degree in animal science in 1997 and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Her husband Chris is a chemical engineer at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in Richland. Joanna and Chris have a furry family including one dog Pete, (pictured) and three cats: Nelson, Murphy and Angus.
Before joining the Pet Health Clinic team in 2006, Joanna worked at a mixed animal practice in Selah, Washington. Her professional interests include nutrition and dentistry. Cooking and eating are Joanna’s favorite hobbies, but she also enjoys reading, fishing, gardening, horseback riding and downhill skiing.
Samantha Bentley
grew up in Grandview and has lived there all her life.. Samantha has worked at Pet Health Clinic for 11 years, first as a technician and for the last 3 years as our receptionist. She is pictured with Pickle, one of the clinic cats.
She and her husband, Russ have just built a new home in Grandview. They have two sons: Jaxxon and Mavryk. The family has two dogs: Hutch and Spud.
Jamie Kleinow
is from Grandview. She has worked at Pet Health Clinic since 2002. She is pictured with Brown Dog, one of the clinic cats.
Jamie and her husband James live in Sunnyside. They have three dogs: Brinks, Millie and Bruce, and three cats: Asha, Tiggy and Alvin. Jamie likes to jog and ride her bike.
Heidi Faith
is a licensed veterinary technician. She graduated from the vet tech school at Pierce County Community College in 2002. Heidi has three dogs: Red (pictured left), Josie (pictured right) and Maverick, and one cat: Mouse. She has worked at the Pet Health Clinic since 2003. Heidi and her husband Tim live in Outlook with their two boys, Hunter and Parker and new daughter, Liberty .
Vanessa Romero
grew up in Green River, Wyoming. She attended the University of Washington and received her degree in Biological Anthropology in 2004.
Vanessa lives in Benton City with her husband, Caleb. They have one dog, Blackie, two cockateels: Ollie and Sparky, one guinea pig: Tater, and four chickens: Edna (pictured), Mattie, Pearl and Ester.
Vanessa’s interests include reading, gardening, art, wildlife rehabilitation, cooking, WWII history and hugging chickens.
Sarah Bull
grew up in Prosser and lives there with her fiancé, Brandon McEntire. Sarah has two dogs: Sadie and Barney (both pictured) and three cats: Lucy, Mama and Baby Kitty. She has worked as a veterinary assistant at Pet Health Clinic since 2007.
Her interests include fashion, working with local dog rescues to place homeless pets and spending time with her family and friends.
Melissa Garza
grew up in Prosser. She currently resides in Sunnyside with her husband Baltasar, and two daughters: Celeste, and Taylor. The family has 5 dogs: Hunter, Firby (pictured), Ginger, Johnny, McKenna, and one cat: Sassy.
Melissa started working as a veterinary assistant at the Prosser Animal Hospital in 2006. She joined the Pet Health Clinic team in August 2009.
